Spot the Signs Renfrewshire event
My Body, My Business is a one hour play written by local writer, Tracy Patrick, for The Neighbourhood Challenge's 'Scotland’ Spot the Signs Renfrewshire' event in November 2019.
Tracy and local actress, Ashley Edgar, researched and held creative discussions on the subject of modern trafficking, and the result is this thought-provoking drama about the plight of a trafficked victim coming to the UK to work and support her family.
The play enables the viewer to understand this important issue, challenging and transforming attitudes to trafficking victims.Through challenging scenes and effective urban banter it drew the audience into this serious and tragic world of modern slavery that is hidden in plain sight.
My Body, My Business was directed by Rebecca Ritchie-Smith and performed by a cast of talented community actors: volunteers.
